Well, what can I say?

DMS was committed to helping us achieve our goal from the outset. They enabled us to adapt the job spec to ensure it was within our budget and were happy to regular liaise with our architect throughout the project. They were flexible, friendly and fab! It was a pleasure to have the team on site throughout the 3.5 months renovation and extension. We will be using their services again in the future.

DMS completed a significant extension on my property. The work was of a very high quality and broadly on schedule despite happening during the current COVID pandemic. The team are very friendly and continually respectful of ours and our neighbours needs. Ultimately the project was finished on time, cost and quality and we could’nt ask anymore. DMS overhauled my 3-bedroom mid terrace home which included to demolish an old cold single storey extension and replace with a larger well insulated double storey extension and change the entire upstairs layout as well as half the downstairs including re-skim every room and knock through from the living room to new kitchen/diner extension.
This was a lot of work and DMS quote was better than any other builder. Being honest, we did have worries that the saying ‘you get what you pay for’ would be our downfall but this wasn’t the case at all. DMS from foundations to completions were brilliant and finished everything to an extremely high standard without cutting corners and were very helpful and communitive throughout advising on the best course of action when issues arose. Everything done to building regulations and Dave at DMS liaised with building control throughout. I believe the reason why their quote was so good is down to a really well organised set up and high skill set of all the builders at DMS.

We started in early January (and it was a wet January) the groundworks team didn’t grumble they worked extremely hard using a small rear access path to remove all the mud out of the back, through the wind, rain and elements they managed to keep the timescale on time yet still had the good attitude to make sure every evening the (now) construction site was safe and clean for my children, sweeping and mopping floors and boarding up the large hole in the back of the house.

We moved out for the internal works to take place but then covid lockdown happened but DMS managed to push-on throughout, there was some delay due to having to restrict tradesmen in the house and keeping the site covid safe for all yet the work continued. When parts and materials was hard to come by more sound advice and sourcing of materials meant the work still continued.

In all the work was about 4 weeks delayed and on budget which was a miracle based on the problems DMS had to overcome due to covid and the additional works we added on.

I would recommend DMS to anyone knowing they will be getting a high-quality job with an excellent team of skilled builders

As a Charity, resources are always tight and so it is key that with any work we get done we get a good service with value for money. DMS Conversions were brought in to convert an open plan office area into a bespoke design of offices, meeting rooms and training rooms and throughout the process were clear and upfront about the costs and timescales. The team worked around a busy office and were flexible to our needs. We were really pleased with the quality of finish and the professionalism of the workers. I would definitely use them on future building projects and would recommend them to other people.

DMS Conversions began overseeing repairs and upgrades on my Exeter Holiday Homes properties some years ago, so were the natural choice when I needed a team to assist with a new build in Exminster ( a bespoke five bedroom timber frame Potton Home). Since completion of the house, I have gone on to refurbish a three bed terrace house and add a large loft conversion, to add to my rental portfolio. Martyn and his team have been invaluable in guiding me through building regulations, current legislation and reputable suppliers. Their contacts with carpenters, decorators electricians, plumbers and landscapers has meant no delays.. with teams all working alongside each other on site simultaneously at times . From the start of each project, a clear communication is kept open and ongoing and I am now in a position where I can step back a little, knowing the team will follow instructions and always use their initiative. I cannot recommend Martyn and his team highly enough. Their charges are fair and reasonable, their team is skilled and courteous, their next clients won’t be disappointed.

DMS Conversions have recently completed the installation of a new kitchen at my home. Having a new kitchen not only involves the removal and installation of units, it also involves many other skills – electrical, plumbing, plastering, tiling and of course most importantly good carpentry.
